Voting on the game before you play

When you put a tee time up, the default is your usual game: the setup you played last, editable on the first tee as always. That's what most groups want most weeks.

If the group can't decide, ask them. You offer two or three complete options — main game, skins or not, net or gross, money or points, the stakes, presses and carries — and each one shows its rules and what a bad day costs before anyone votes.

Who votes

Anyone who has said they're in for that tee time, up until the cutoff you set. Change your mind as often as you like before then; only your last vote counts.

Confirming it

After the cutoff — or earlier, once everyone who's in has voted — whoever posted the tee time confirms the leading option. A tie isn't broken for you: the organiser picks, and the group can see it was a tie.

A vote is not a bet

This is the part worth knowing. Voting for a setup is a preference, not an agreement to play for money. Once an option is confirmed, each player accepts the exact terms from their own account, and only then is it agreed. Nobody can accept on your behalf, and a seat that hasn't been claimed yet can't accept at all.

When something changes

Change the options and every vote and acceptance clears. Change who's coming, the course, the holes or the time, and the acceptances clear — the deal people agreed to is no longer the deal. It asks again rather than assuming.

Posting the tee time with people already in

Booked a four after texting three people? Mark them in when you post the tee time — the group appears as chips, you're already in, tap the ones you coordinated with — and the tee time opens with only the spots that are genuinely open. Picking a fifth when the tee is set for four makes it a tee for five.

Where the vote shows

The clubhouse poster under the tee time says whether a vote is open, how many have voted, what's ahead, and when it closes — and its button reads Vote on the game while the vote is waiting on you. The home-screen widget carries the same line.

Leagues

A league night plays the season's format. There's nothing to vote on, so there's no poll.
