Watching a round
One person keeps the card. Until now that meant the other three watched over a shoulder, and whoever couldn't make it that week had nothing at all until Saturday night.
Now the round is live to the whole group from the first score.
From the clubhouse
When somebody's out there, the clubhouse says so. Tap it and you get the round as it stands: the hole they're on, how far through the day they are, and everybody's money moving as it's written down.
And on your lock screen
Open a round you're watching and it goes onto your lock screen too, updating as the scores land — so you can put the phone back in your pocket and still know that Dave has just made a seven.
This is for the three walking the fairway without the card as much as it's for the man on the sofa. Nobody has to ask where the match stands.
One person scores, everybody watches
That's on purpose, and it stays that way. Two phones writing the same round is how a round ends up with two versions of the truth, and the money in this app is only worth what it is because there's exactly one.
So watching is watching. When the round is filed, the watchers get told it's over, and everything it did shows up in the record the same moment it does for the man who kept the card.
